NZSSD awards
The Society sponsors annual conference grants for members in good standing, and in 2005 inaugurated a professional development scholarship for non-medical members who fulfill the eligibility criteria.
Annual Professional Development Scholarships:
Applications for the December 2008 Professional Development Scholarships are now open. These awards are intended for use in 'further professional development'. As no awards were made in the previous round in July, a larger sum of money than usual is available for the executive to distribute.

NZSSD Conference grants
As registration costs for the joint International Diabetes Federation Congress in 2008 were slightly higher than previous NZSSD meetings, the Executive set aside a total of $15,000 to aid non-physician members to attend by awarding scholarships to assist with registration costs. Applications have now closed for these grants and applicants have been notified.
